Excellent read for kids who like computers and magic. Amusing characters: A working witch mother, a nanny with special powers, children with personality, monsters in the moat, relatives in the freezer, and a spider with attitude.
The parents are preoccupied and rather ineffective, and the children have to save the family by themselves; so kids will probably relate to this and enjoy reading the book.
This would also be a great book to read to a primary school class.
