This wordless picture book describes the migrant / refugee / displaced persons' emotions and experiences in leaving everybody and everything they know to journey to an alien place. The reader can experience the difficulty in navigating an incomprehensible place and culture through Shaun Tan's illustrations. A must read!

Agreed - a must read. As well as being beautifully produced it recreates the sense of alienation and strangeness by being almost the world we know but not quite.
