Cyclone Tracey : the diary of Ryan Turner - Alan Tucker

Set in Darwin in 1974, this begins the September before the cyclone hits. We are introduced to Ryan(14 or 15 I think), his family and friends as they go about their day to day lives. We are then taken through the aftermath and the cyclone itself through Ryan's diary. I found this interesting as I can remember the cyclone occuring but never really knew much of the detail. Moves a bit slowly at the beginning, though.
