Shakespeare's Stories - retold by Beverley Birch

This collection retells 5 of Shakespeare's most popular plays - Romeo and Juliet, MacBeth, Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Julius Caesar. All are beautifully illustrated by Stephen Lambert. Birch makes the stories easy to read and includes some of the play dialog in her writing. I have always enjoyed Shakespeare and am certain that, as a 13 year old, his plays would have made alot more sense to me if I'd had access to a collection like this. I did miss the rhythm and poetry that you find in his plays though.
