Down the Rabbit Hole By Peter Abrahams

well this book had a lot to live up to in my eyes. the front cover claims it to be an all time favourite of Stephen King and my 11 year old cousin said it was the best book she has ever read. well i am pleased to say that it sure lived up to the hype and had me hooked until the very end. i usually find suspense and mystery books written for kids to be rather unsuspenseful and unmyserious but this had me guessing and second guessing right until the last chapter!
a basic pot summary without giving away the ending is that the heroine ingrid leaves her soccer boots behind at the house of someone who is found murdered the next day. this invited a lot more questions than answers, what was ingrid doing at the house in the first place? why doesn't she tell anyone? and more importantly how deep a hole can one person dig for themselves!

all i need now is to get my hands on the sequel to see what other adventures ingrid can get up to.
