Sector 7 by David Wiesner

During a school trip to the Empire State building a young boy has an unusual encounter with a cloud leading to his exciting journey to the cloud station for Sector 7. Here his drawing ability encourages some changes in the way the clouds appear in the sky over Manhattan. A beautiful, visual book which uses a fairly restrained pallette of blues, beige, and green, with red as an accent, to tell an imaginative and interesting story.

Using illustrations the author/illustrator, David Wiesner, cleverly tells the story using both large pictures and comic like sequences. This book would be a great addition to any school library.
