Strikingly illustrated in a stylised way, this seems almost nostalgically Australian. A quick google on Coote reveals she may be ever so slightly obsessed with Ned Kelly.....
This book is fun, and I can identify with it given my own experiences of huddling round potbelly stoves. Has 23 tiny Ned Kelly helmets hidden throughout - is this a gimmick or a good feature to draw kids back to the book?
