Me, All Alone at the End of the World by M.T. Anderson

A story about a boy who lives quite happily and peacefully at the end of the world until the end of the world is discovered by a developer. At first the boy enjoys the company of other children and the places that have been built there, but after a while, and when he cannot hear nature he wants to be alone again and moves elsewhere - the top of the world infact!

I thought this was a lovely sophisticated fiction book with wonderful illustrations.

I also thought this was a lovely book. Quite a good message about how nature can be destroyed when people try to make it a better place, and also the whole idea about appreciating things the way they are.
