This story was written by Paul Stewart and illustrated by Chris Riddell, who also wrote the ‘Edge Chronicles’. It is an imaginative, funny and intriguing tale of Corby’s journey on the SS Euphonia along the Dalcretian Coast. Along the way she encounters the very serious and frightening Brotherhood of Clowns, who are all named after typing fonts (Palatino, Bembo, Garamond and Times-Roman). They are obviously up to no good, and when Corby uncovers their smuggling plot she finds herself in big trouble.
This was a great fantasy adventure story, I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it for all primary school libraries
